The Industry Business Model Re-Design Program

This program is offered to key ICT-using sectors in national industries that desire a new approach to gaining competitive advantage in a global environment. The program begins with a research phase involving all parts of the industry value system i.e. key brand owners, suppliers, manufacturers/developers, entrepreneurs and intermediaries. Phase two involves documentation and validation of the current industry business model with key industry players and then the design and re-design of alternative future industry models. Phase three involves careful design of the value proposition for the new industry model design and the targeting of “best of breed” members to determine the rules of engagement for the required collaborative effort.

The final phase four determines the expected benefits and costs associated with the pro-active management of the collaborative network and the establishment of rules that govern member behavior, new member entry/exit and communication protocols. If required, Agitavi can project management the early phase of implementation until a suitable management team is formed.

The Company Capability Building and Business Model Re-Design Programs

These programs are offered to small and medium enterprises with high growth aspirations. The program begins with a one to two day “on the business” workshop involving ALL employees in the enterprise. The workshop’s purpose is to quick-fix key infrastructure issues to free resources and enable an organizational focus on marketing and revenue generation. Obviously, recognition of what ICT can enable is a critical part of this workshop, but the key outcome is a highly motivated team with a clear vision and plan to guide revenue-generating activity.

The initial tidy-up phase above normally leads to an organizational re-design and a review of performance management policies and processes. However, in some cases firms can progress to the business model re-design program which requires more strategic thinking and a conscious effort to reconfigure the supply chain and distribution models. The Business Model Re-Design Program follows a similar path to the industry model process described above.
